Core Team
Our core team is made up of our chair, administrative support from the chairs institution and CoSeC support staff from UKRI - STFC.
Prof Sarah Harris
CCP Chair
Our chair is responsible for overseeing the activities and budget of CCPBioSim. She leads the management group with oversight of events and software development projects.
Dr Shivani Harshe
CCP Admin Support
As project administrator, she has been assigned to support CCPBioSim with administration, finance and logistics support.
Dr James Gebbie-Rayet
CoSeC Project Leader
As our CoSeC lead and biomolecular simulation group leader at UKRI - STFC, he oversees the management of the STFC staff assigned to this community. He has a PhD in computational chemistry and over a decade of experience in developing scientific software, with a focus on high performance programming and HPC platforms.
Dr Sarah Fegan
CoSeC Scientific Software Engineer
As CoSeC senior computational scientist, she is responsible for work on software projects, training, and organising conferences and seminars for core CCPBioSim activities.
Mr Harry Swift
CoSeC Software Engineer
As CoSeC software developer, he is responsible for work on software projects and training for core CCPBioSim activities.
Dr Jas Kalayan
PSDI Scientific Software Engineer
Jas is a senior scientific software engineer specialising in reproducible workflow development and data‑sharing solutions for molecular simulation. She has a PhD in computational chemistry, with a research background in advanced molecular modelling, including the development of machine‑learned interatomic potentials and entropy‑based methodologies. Her work has supported molecular dynamics studies focusing on protein–ligand binding, hydration phenomena, and free‑energy calculations, with an overarching goal of improving transparency and reproducibility in computational biomolecular science.
Dr Hima Bindu Kolli
CoSeC Scientific Software Engineer
Bindu develops software tools and workflows that connect experimental data with biomolecular simulations. Her research interests include molecular simulations, intrinsically disordered proteins, scientific software development, and multi-scale modelling. She enjoys working with researchers across disciplines to develop practical solutions to scientific challenges and is actively involved in training, outreach, webinars, and community-building activities within DRI-IMB and the wider CCP communities.
Dr Robert Welch
CoSeC Scientific Software Engineer
As CoSeC senior computational scientist, he is responsible for work on software projects, training, and organising conferences and seminars on DRIIMB.
