Frank Sobott’s research focuses on the structural analysis of non-covalently bound supramolecular systems and functional biomolecular assemblies. His group develops innovative methods and advanced instrumentation for the characterisation of multi-component, heterogeneous, and highly dynamic complexes using mass spectrometry, ion mobility spectrometry, and associated gas-phase techniques. These approaches are applied within a strongly interdisciplinary framework to address fundamental and applied research questions spanning chemistry, biology, and medicine.
